Slap Ya Mama - From Cajun country to Canada

One thing that drives us at QuadRipple is passion. When there are products and services that are truly superior and we are passionate about, we love to let our fans know about them. This one is about, in my humblest opinion, the only true Cajun spice in the world, Slap Ya Mama by Walker & Sons.

YYC Cycle Kicks Ass: Fire alarm day

One factor that has helped us really grow ourselves and our business since May, has been our commitment to eating healthy and to exercising at least 4 times per week. It started with the stair workout at Crescent Heights and cycle trips regularly. The lack of sunny weather this summer transitioned our cycling into regular attendance at YYC Cycle. We have been spinning at least every day (on average) since purchasing our September unlimited pass at YYC Cycle. This is by far one of the best investments QuadRipple has made since our formation last year. The exercise allows us to disconnect from the business world for 50 minutes, end up in a beautiful and positive state, and surround ourselves with amazing, like-minded and goal oriented individuals.

Calgary Pet Expo 2016

Here’s a quick video we’ve put together with some great footage of the many animals we met at the Calgary Pet Expo in Spruce Meadows. There were lots of fantastic local rescue and awareness organizations we got to speak to and animals we got to interact with. To all the volunteers that were there, thank you for all you do. We look forward to it again next year!

Real poutine only exists in Quebec

Yep, I said it, but I’d love to be proven wrong. During Poutine Week here in Calgary, Alberta, I’m on a mission to find real poutine. Poutine is arguably the most Canadian dish ever invented. I lived in Quebec for 5 years and ate poutine at least every 5 days so naturally I’d love to talk a bit about the dish.

Chocolate: The good, the bad, and the straight up delicious!

Did you know the world consumes over 200kg of chocolate per second? That’s a toxic quantity for about 40 people. How much did you eat this past weekend?

The nature of chocolate toxicity is a compound found in cacao/cocoa beans (the basis of chocolate) called theobromine. However, for a lethal dose of chocolate, the average human would need to consume over 5 kg, at least 50 chocolate bars at once! Augustus Gloop and Bruce Bogtrotter better be careful.
